I'm so happy we had our first day of shooting this last Sunday. Everything went really well. The cast and crew were fantastic. Thank you so much Jennifer, David, Amber and Gina.
We were able to find a deli to use and the locations worked out great. The biggest glitch was that one location was initially unusable because of three really loud (and literally) crazy guys having a ridiculous argument. I'm not even going to try to explain it further. Got to love living in a city. We shot what we could and then moved to a new nearby location. This totally changed the energy of the scene but it turned out even better than we first planned.
One big thing I learned is that I really really need a stills photographer. You may have noticed the dearth of images in this post. I had my photo camera at all three locations but was so busy and preoccupied that I totally forgot to take any stills. This needs to be fixed so if you want to take some photos on set let me know. I'll try to extract some stills from the footage but it wont be anywhere near as good as a dedicated photographer.
I am now working on a rough assembly of what we shot and preparing for next weekends shoot. By Hollywood standards we are doing things blazingly fast. By normal standards we have been at this a long time and still have a long way to go.
