Hello Everyone,
(First let me apologize if you get a duplicate of this message ... I'm having some problems with the newsletter software.)
Hope the new year (even if it is almost a month old now) is treating you really well. Things could not be better on my end and I know I'm a total slug for not writing sooner and more often. I've been swamped with movie work, holiday celebrations and some personal travel.
A lot of people have been asking how the movie was going and I'm happy to say that, we have finished “principle photography” and I’ve edited together a rough cut. Since it’s a collaborative improv based film it is going to take considerable massaging to make it feel like a cohesive story. We knew that going in so its no big deal. It just takes time that’s all.
I’m starting to show the really rough cut to close friends and advisers, people who have filmmaking experience, to get their ideas, comments and reactions. After we do that a few times we’ll know better what needs to be added, cut, redone, expanded, etc.
I’ll then schedule reshoots and ADR sessions while looking for a real editor (better than me), a sound designer, composer, etc. There’s just a lot of post production to be done still and each step takes a long time. Especially when you have no budget and people have to work around their regular day jobs.
Anyway, just wanted to say hi and let you know that we are working hard on the film and to thank you all for your continued support and interest.
Julio
